Bacon Cracker Appetizer

Easy and delicious — who doesn’t love bacon?! These are always a hit at a cocktail party. Choose savory (parmesan cheese) or sweet (brown sugar) to compliment the bacon, or do a little of both!


  • 1 sleeve country club-style crackers
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 pound thinly sliced bacon
  • Brown sugar, if desired


Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.

Lay the crackers face up on a large rack over a baking sheet (or broiler pan). Cut the package of bacon in half .

Get everything ready before you begin

Scoop about 1 teaspoon of the grated Parmesan onto each cracker (savory version) or else 1 tsp brown sugar (sweet version). Use a small bowl, so that any excess falls back into the bowl as you are wrapping with bacon.

Wrap the ½ piece of bacon around the cracker carefully so the cheese (or sugar) doesn’t fall off. Wrap the bacon around and around the cracker fairly snugly, in a barber pole fashion.

Ready for the oven

Place the bacon-wrapped crackers onto the rack. Place the baking sheet in the oven for about 2 hours. Serve immediately or they will hold, at room temperature, during your cocktail party.
